Tippy Hung is an award-winning jewelry designer based in New York City. Her brand Tippy Taste Jewelry conjures delicate and elegant jewels straight out of a fairytale. Born in Taiwan and raised in Singapore, China, and Paris, Tippy’s diverse experiences shape her unique aesthetic, resulting in truly exquisite creations.
Tippy graduated from the prestigious design schools of Parsons and the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. A class on “The History of Jewelry” opened her eyes to the rich tradition of jewelry as self-expression. She loved the idea of turning her vision into sparkling beauty, and sharing that beauty with others. Her growing interest in jewelry led her to work at Swarovski and intern with Miriam Haskell and Lulu Frost. She was inspired to start Tippy Taste Jewelry while still in college in 2016.
Tippy is known for her signature style – romantic and feminine with a hint of vintage glamour. Drawing inspiration from life's little nuances for her enchanting designs, she thoughtfully chooses gemstones, metals, and textures to evoke specific emotions. All jewelry is handcrafted in New York City by local family-owned artisans using only the highest quality materials, including precious metals and natural gemstones. From concept to creation, the focus remains on perfecting every detail. Tippy’s personal touch ensures that every piece tells a unique story, inviting wearers into a world of timeless beauty and elegance.
