Amy is half Colombian, half Italian and raised in New Jersey. Adopted at 2 weeks old from Bucaramanga amidst the height of political violence in Colombia, she believes in celebrating who you are and the obstacles you have overcome in life. Her brand is named after her mother’s maiden name. She has a background in nutrition and biochemistry but chose to follow her heart into the world of jewelry.
Amy’s first introduction to jewelry was when she was a curious child going through her mother's jewelry drawers. Later in life she worked at multiple jewelry boutiques which is when her dream of becoming a fine jewelry designer started to form. In 2016 she made the jump to learn how to create jewelry out of various mediums such as wax and precious metals. She took classes, practiced under jewelers in Manhattan and Brooklyn and in 2020 - at the height of COVID - she launched Ciardi Collection.
Ciardi Collection is a fine jewelry line created by the ubiquitous influence of beauty and emotion: two things Amy finds to be endless in everyday life. The pieces are inspired by simplicity with a touch of drama and playfulness. Every piece tells a story and is designed to become a part of the person wearing it.
Amy is committed to uplifting and offering her collectors elevated handmade fine jewelry that can be worn from day to night and passed down generation to generation. Each piece is handmade in NYC by her along with the expertise of other skilled artisans. Diamonds, gemstones and pearls are consciously sourced and selected by her trusted dealers in the trade. She strongly believes that jewelry is timeless and proudly produces everything with integrity and mindfulness.
Aside from designing jewelry, Amy is a classically trained pianist, a former collegiate tennis player, an avid skiier and a Bengal cat lover.
