About the Brand
Rossella Ugolini is an award-winning Italian artisan, goldsmith and artist who creates handcrafted fine jewelry in her atelier in Rome. Her collections draw inspiration from nature, the elements, the animal kingdom and, inevitably, the city of Rome itself. The result is jewelry intended to feel singular and personal rather than repeated or anonymous.
Rossella spent her childhood in the garden of wonders of her grandfather's city cottage. He was an engineer and inventor, and there she learned to look at details with curiosity and imagination and to understand that ideas can become things. Drawing and dancing became early ways for her to give shape to thoughts and occupy space.
Through her work, Rossella tries to return in another form the beautiful things she has been fortunate enough to admire and has never stopped looking for as an adult. She uses what she calls her goldsmith's lens to observe the history and beauty of Italy, while also looking beyond places and objects toward less visible qualities of emotion, thought and character.
